Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of https://homeinsulation.com.au/ (the “Site”) and any purchase you make from Home Insulation (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

By using the Site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or are using the Site under the supervision of a parent or guardian, and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

3. Products and pricing

• All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time.
• Prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable, unless otherwise stated.
• We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, and pricing are accurate; however, errors may occasionally occur. If we identify a pricing or listing error after you have placed an order, we will contact you prior to processing the order to offer the option of confirming at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
• We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice, though such changes will not affect orders already confirmed.

4. Orders and payment

• When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase, which we may accept or decline.
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of order. We do not store your full card details.
• An order is confirmed once you receive an order confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order — for example, due to stock unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud — in which case you will receive a full refund.

5. Quotes

• Quotes for installation work are estimates based on the information and property details available to us at the time, including any measurements, photos, or details you provide, or that we gather during a site visit.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated.
• The final price may differ from the quoted price where the scope of work changes or unforeseen property conditions are identified once our installer is on-site, including conditions that were not visible or disclosed at the time of quoting. Any additional work arising from such circumstances will be treated as a variation and charged accordingly. We will notify the client of any proposed price change and, where practicable, obtain approval before proceeding with additional work.
• Prices are also subject to change without notice where supplier price increases or other external cost increases affect the cost of goods or services. Any applicable price adjustments will be communicated to the client prior to invoicing.

6. Installation and site visits

• By booking an installation or site visit, you confirm that you have the authority to permit us to attend the property (e.g., you are the owner, or have the owner’s permission).
• You are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the property and relevant work areas at the agreed appointment time. If we are unable to gain access, we may charge a call-out fee and require the appointment to be rebooked.
• You may reschedule or cancel a booked appointment by contacting us at info@homeinsulation.com.au at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations with less notice may incur a fee of $300.
• We take reasonable care to avoid property damage while carrying out installation work. If damage occurs as a direct result of our negligence, please contact us at info@homeinsulation.com.au so we can investigate and resolve the matter, including through our insurance where applicable.
• For health and safety reasons, and to comply with applicable workplace health and safety regulations, power to the premises may be required to be switched off while work is in progress. Clients are responsible for advising us of any concerns or requirements relating to power isolation prior to commencement of work.
• Ceiling vacuuming and removal works may be rescheduled where weather conditions, including high winds or rain, are likely to compromise the safety of our installers or risk damage to the premises. We reserve the right to postpone or reschedule works where such conditions arise. Any rescheduled works will be arranged with the client at the earliest practical opportunity.
• While every reasonable effort will be made to complete the installation across all accessible areas beneath the floor, certain sections may be inaccessible due to site conditions, restricted access, structural obstructions or other unforeseen circumstances. In such instances, our installers will be unable to complete installation in those areas, and no responsibility will be accepted for sections that cannot be reasonably accessed.
• Any removal, handling or disposal of materials suspected or confirmed to contain asbestos must be carried out by appropriately licensed asbestos removalists in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Such works are excluded from the scope of this quotation unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

7. Delivery and click and collect

• We deliver orders ourselves rather than using a third-party courier. At checkout, you may also choose Click & Collect to pick up your order from 2/83 Tucker St, Breakwater VIC 3219.
• Delivery timeframes provided at checkout are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control.
• You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. If a delivery cannot be completed due to an incorrect address or no one being available to receive it, additional delivery attempts may incur extra charges.
• If you select Click & Collect, we will notify you by email when your order is ready for collection. Orders must be collected within one week of this notification, or the order may be cancelled and refunded.
• Risk in the products passes to you once the order has been delivered to the address provided, or once collected under Click & Collect.

8. Returns, refunds, and remedial work

• Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including your rights in relation to faulty, unsafe, or not-as-described goods, and your rights in relation to services not provided with due care and skill, fit for purpose, or completed within a reasonable time.

• If you are not satisfied with installation work, please contact us at info@homeinsulation.com.au so we can arrange an inspection and, where appropriate, carry out remedial work. Remedial work is our preferred remedy for installation issues, in place of a refund, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise.

9. Cancellations

• You may request to cancel a product order before it has been dispatched for delivery by contacting us at info@homeinsulation.com.au. Once an order has been dispatched, our returns process in Section 8 will apply instead.
• For cancelling a booked installation or site visit appointment, see Section 6.

10. Your account

If you create an account on the Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site to:

• Engage in fraudulent, unlawful, or misleading activity
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or its systems
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Site
• Upload or transmit harmful code (e.g. viruses, malware)

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Site for anyone who breaches these Terms.

12. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, images, logos, and design — is owned by or licensed to Home Insulation and Home Insulation Store and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content without our written permission.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Home Insulation and Home Insulation Store is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site, purchase of products, or use of installation services. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
