Bradford SoundScreen R2.0 acoustic insulation batts help reduce airborne noise transfer between rooms and floors. Made from glasswool, they also provide thermal resistance. They are an option for suitable internal wall and mid-floor constructions in new builds and renovations.

Quieter Rooms with Bradford SoundScreen R2.0

Acoustic insulation can help improve privacy between bedrooms, living areas and home offices. However, the finished result depends on the complete construction, including wall linings, doors, gaps and other paths that allow sound to travel.

For this reason, choose insulation alongside the specified wall or floor system. Batts alone do not make a room soundproof. If your project has a particular acoustic requirement, confirm the construction details with your designer or installer before ordering.

Choosing Your Bradford SoundScreen R2.0 Pack

Both pack options contain nine batts at a nominal thickness of 70mm. The 430mm-wide option contains approximately 4.5m² of insulation material, while the 580mm-wide option contains approximately 6.1m².

First, measure the spaces between framing members and check the available cavity depth. Then compare your measurements with the batt dimensions in the Specifications tab. The selected product should fit the intended construction without unwanted gaps or compression.

Understanding Pack Coverage

Our table lists actual batt area separately from coverage allowing for framing. Actual batt area describes the insulation supplied inside each pack. The framing-adjusted figure also accounts for space occupied by framing members.

When comparing prices per square metre, check which area figure is being used. In addition, discuss cutting and layout allowances with your installer when estimating the number of packs required.
