Bradford SoundScreen R3.1 is a glasswool insulation batt designed to help reduce airborne noise transfer between rooms and floors. It also provides thermal resistance, making it an option for projects where both acoustic comfort and insulation performance matter.

Choosing Insulation for Quieter Rooms

• SoundScreen can be considered for internal wall cavities and mid-floor constructions, subject to the building design and manufacturer’s installation requirements. Typical projects include bedrooms, home offices and living areas where greater privacy is useful.
• However, insulation is only one part of an acoustic system. Wall linings, doors, windows, gaps and the surrounding construction also affect sound transfer. Choose the complete construction to suit your project rather than expecting batts alone to make a room soundproof.

Check the Pack Size and Cavity Depth

• Before ordering, measure the spaces between framing members and check the available cavity depth. Bradford SoundScreen R3.1 batts are 110mm thick, so the construction must accommodate their nominal thickness. Do not assume they are suitable for a 90mm cavity.
• Compare the selected pack’s dimensions, quantity and stated coverage with your measurements. Allow for cutting and the layout of the installation when estimating quantities. If you are unsure which option to choose, contact our team before purchasing.
