Earthwool® SoundShield R2.5 HD Wall Insulation Batts

If you want walls that keep heat in and noise out, SoundShield is the step up from a standard wall batt. It’s a high-density glasswool, so it absorbs more sound passing through the wall cavity while giving you a higher R2.5 thermal rating.

Installation tips

• Follow the Knauf installation instructions for wall batts. Earthwool® Wall Installation Guide
• Cut batts slightly oversize so they friction-fit between studs.
• Fill the cavity fully, without compressing the batts.
• Seal gaps around services, since noise travels through them.
• Wear gloves, long sleeves and a dust mask when cutting.
• Check the NCC requirements for your climate zone.
